First of all, a training update! It has been a long week. Hubby has been in Japan and I’ve been here with the four P’s! After cooking, cleaning and picking up after them day after day with no help, I’ve been too tired for anything else! 🙂 Each time I attempt the trainer, someone cries, begs or comes in the house with a minor injury! The Triathlon is in one week! Yikes! I drove through the bike course yesterday….I may be walking my bike, but I WILL do this! I have not been in the pool, but I’m confident I can swim 200 yards! (I hope). I’m doing the mini (200yd swim, 6 mile bike ride and 1.5 mile run), so I think any training will be something!
Now, for more fun stuff! I’ve seen the deodorant picture circulating FB. I’ve had a few friends threaten to forgo wearing deodorant ever again…and I’ve had a few ask for my homemade deodorant recipe! Fear not…..here is a link to a recipe from Frugally Sustainable! And here is my own recipe:
3 Tablespoons Baking Soda
3 Tablespoons Cornstarch (or Arrowroot Powder)
3 Tablespoons coconut oil
1 Tablespoon Witch Hazel
10 drops of your favorite Essential Oil
Mix it together and put it into a jar or old deodorant tube! I’ve even made a bar from it. This will last for months, you only need a little. I use it everyday, even working out and it works!
