As you may know, I am training for a Sprint Triathlon in October. I’m a little nervous because the house schedule does not allow for much time! I have a Kindergartener; and a preschooler, who is in Speech Therapy 4 days a week; a two year old, who will also be in Speech Therapy, and an almost 1 year old. All that makes it hard to catch a workout! But I have learned a few shortcuts!
One of my favorites is a Tabata workout! Eight rounds of 20 seconds of exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, then another 20 seconds…does not sound like a lot, but it’ll kick your butt!
Today I got in a quick workout of 100’s…100 rows, jumping jacks, bicep curls, squats, jump squats and hip raises, along with 4 minutes of plank! Sounds like a lot, but if you break it down into 4 sets of 25, it’s more bearable!
So there you have it, a busy mom’s workout!!
