Open House: A Rare New Home Find

Friday I had the opportunity to tour a rare find in a neighboring city; new homes! I love open houses and I love looking at homes. The homes I looked at are in National City8 on C Avenue, a short drive from San Diego, the Zoo, beaches, and the Navy base. They are brand new townhouses with a shared driveway, private entries and garages. They range from 2-3 bedrooms and are two-story. They are nestled in between some older homes, and close to shopping (Walmart). All have stainless appliances, hardwood floors, tiled baths, washer/dryer hookups and are Solar ready. One of my favorites has a bedroom upstairs, one downstairs, each with a bath, and a spectacular covered balcony upstairs off the living room with tons of light. The patio is also covered. It boasts 3 glass doors just off the kitchen. The units facing the street have a unique entrance into the first floor bedroom/den/office. The unit also has a dead bolted door so the room could be used as a private office/studio. The most unique unit (and the biggest) has a catwalk to a studio apartment. Perfect for an in-law or roommate. The studio has a private entrance, so it could easily be rented out. Prices start in the lower $300’s.

The builders are KirE Builders and they are super nice. I really liked how unique and different each unit was. I honestly know nothing about the area of National City these homes are in, but the street seems like a quiet cross street and is maybe a quarter mile from the 5. There is a lot of construction in the area, as National City is in the middle of a main street refurbishment project. It is definitely worth a look.
